We were given these Ducks years ago by our next door neighbour & they have lived contentedly in our front garden ever since. I have taken many photos meaning to paint them as they look so lovely. 
Customers love to personaliise our gifts so I am always looking for new ideas to add wording to my paintings but I started drawing the ducks thinking it was just going to be a straight forward picture, then eureka! 
I had the idea of personalising the tag hanging on my Olive tree (I brought it in the summer & have still not planted it or cut the tag off). 
Then I thought about how Roses are often named after people so it morphed into a Rose bush, it's the only way most people can ever have a Rose named after them & it's in plenty of time for Mother's day!
