Overgrown

I just noticed the beauty of this gate even though I pass by every day. I have to pass it as their is only one road out of the village. I love seeing it all overgrown. One of the things I hate is how mankind try to make everything neat & tidy & man-made looking. The hedges are cut like little boxes, the grass is cut like green carpets & the weeds are obliterated with cancer causing chemicals. My mother said when she was little the hedges were six foot & full of wild dog roses. Nowadays it is probably against health & safety. I just wish we could leave nature alone more to let the flowers grow along with the weeds!
