I can't believe after all this time I have never took photos of my ceramic work in stages before, Some people don't believe I actually paint the ceramics so now at least I have some proof.

When I have anytime, usually after ten at night when I am too tired to paint I will try & keep you updated on what we are upto.

A few weeks ago I decided to paint the back of my ceramics with just paint & splashes. It was great it saved me loads of time, I decided that this was how I was going to paint my ceramics from now on, I spent a day changing all of my website & I was away.
But oh no I can never make things too easy for myself. Now I have changed to drawing the design all around the pots with pencil then putting a colour around the bottom which is even more work. I can cope with that but when half of the ceramics come out of the kiln with drips & un-glazed bare paint around the bottoms it can all just seem too much.
I am driving myself & my hubby slightly mad by constantly changing, but I still love the coloured bottoms so I'm stuck with them forever or for a couple of weeks at least.

I take inspiration from wherever I can get it.
I saw these silk flowers while shopping in Sainsbury's & they gave me the idea for this image.
I am rarely totally happy with my paintings and this is one of those. If you haven't spotted it yet I have already changed one of the lavender on the front to a poppy. But I think I will be doing some more changes before I am happy with the pansies on the mug. Bottoms up I think!
